you know that moment when a toddler figures out the shape goes in the hole and their whole face lights up? this is that. but it fits in your palm. I designed this miniature shape sorter from scratch and 3D printed it myself — yellow lid, blue body with animal illustrations on the sides, carry handle on top, and 10 tiny shape pieces that actually, genuinely, correctly sort through their matching holes. square through the square. star through the star. you get it. it's not a prop. it's not a decoration that only works from far away. you can pick up each little shape and drop it through. the lid comes off. it functions exactly like the real thing, just at a size where the whole toy fits in one hand. this is the part of what I do at RealMiniWorld that still gets me — taking something so familiar and so ordinary and rebuilding it at a scale where it shouldn't work but does. that's the whole obsession.
